SUPERFOOD HOT CHOCOLATE

Serves 2

Ingredients
2 cups milk
2 heaped tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp maca powder 1 tsp cinnamon
1⁄2 tsp turmeric
1⁄2 tsp cayenne pepper 3 tbsp cream

Method
1. Place all the ingredients, except cream, in a small pot. Bring to a slight simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
2. Remove from the heat and place in a blender. Add the cream and blend until frothy.

 

APPLE HOT TODDY

Serves 2

Ingredients
11⁄2 cups apple juice 1 cup water
8 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks 2 star anise
2 tbsp honey
1⁄2 cup whiskey
2 tbsp lemon juice

Method
1. Place the apple juice, water, cloves, cinnamon and star anise in a small pot. Bring to the boil. Turn off the heat and allow spices to steep for 10–15 minutes.
2. Strain out the spices. Stir in the honey until dissolved. Add the whiskey and lemon juice.
3. Serve with sliced apples, cinnamon sticks and star anise.

 

MATCHA LATTE

Serves 2

Ingredients
2 cups milk
2 tbsp matcha powder 2 tbsp honey
3 tbsp cream

Method
1. Place the milk, matcha powder and honey in a small pot. Bring to a slight simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
2. Remove from the heat and place in a blender. Add the cream and
blend until frothy.
