Let the good time's roll

Rockin’ n Rollin’

If you’re searching for action, you’re definitely going to find it here. Situated at the Garden Court Sandton City, Riffs is a convenient meeting spot for hotel guests and locals alike. Let us set the scene: Lavish cocktails, plush seating, big- screen TVs aplenty and the constant buzz of classic rock tunes all create a vibe that is tough to rival. The electric guitars suspended from the ceiling and the framed decals of platinum and gold records make it abundantly clear that music is a serious drawcard. Generous strokes of raw brick and textured wood are matched by the menu, which features plenty of hearty options.

Let’s eat

When it comes to cuisine, Riffs makes a point of serving simple meals that pack a real punch of flavour. Bite into a jalapeño popper to start your meal or get your hands dirty with a plate of sticky BBQ chicken wings that taste so good it’ll be nearly impossible not to lick your fingers once you’ve polished them off. Or, for the health-conscious, Riffs’ classic Caesar salad is always a fresh and tasty choice.
When it comes to choosing a main meal, not much can top the sensation of digging into a rack of sublimely basted pork ribs. This is definitely the case where Riffs’ 400g rack of sticky pork ribs is concerned. Or, if you had something a little more festive in mind, a taste of Portugal is in order with an espetada grilled to perfection.

Red, red wine

Both of these decadent meat dishes would pair seamlessly with a glass of one of the full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignons on offer from the impressive wine list. The list has been meticulously curated by Tsogo Sun’s resident sommelier, Miguel Chan, and includes vintages from some of the country’s top wine auctions.

Tuck into one of Riffs’ mouth-watering gourmet burgers for a real treat and wash it down with a pint of Carver’s Weiss, one of the exclusive No 3 Fransen Street craft beers that has been added to SAB’s extensive range of lagers. If you prefer your poison a little sweeter, you simply must enjoy one of the signature strawberry daiquiris – this cult classic is stirred up with a white-rum base and generous doses of the tastiest strawberries. Or sip your way to a tropical escape with the blue lagoon, a refreshing mixture of blue curaçao and zesty lemon.

End off your Riffs experience by indulging in a serving of malva pudding – scoop of vanilla ice cream included, of course.
