Warm up from the inside out with this winter-friendly wine

Serves 4

3 glasses red wine
Juice of 3 oranges
½ orange, sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
3 whole cloves
2 star anise
2–3 tbsp honey

1. Simmer the wine, orange juice, sliced orange, cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise together in a saucepan for about 15 minutes – do not bring to the boil.
2. Add honey to taste.
3. Serve warm, in a wine glass or goblet.
